Here's the trailer for a documentary I worked on recently with artist Hannah Hull. As part of her residency on the Johnson Fold Estate in Bolton, Hannah is interested in the way people in close communities naturally express themselves - ways that they may not call 'art', but which serves a similar purpose. This film centres around the karaoke scene at local pub The Colliers Arms. When the subject of karaoke is first raised, most locals dismiss it as a laugh, a bit of fun... however, dig a little deeper and the stories that emerge tell a deeper story.
The full film isn't available online yet, so here's the trailer for now.
